Why Wooden Wall costs what it costs
Wooden Wall has 250 HP on the hard side. Every explosive does a fixed amount of damage to it, so the counts above do not change on a vanilla server: 1 C4, 2 rockets, 3 satchels or 48 explosive 5.56 rounds. Multiply by how many you have to get through and you know the sulfur bill before you craft a thing.
